The Game Awards je dodelu nagrada koja ističe najbolje igre iz godine za nama. Iako bi se mnogi složili da su najave novih igara „meso“ ovog događaja, ovom prilikom smo se fokusirali na samu ceremoniju dodele nagrada. Kao i prethodnih godina, stručni žiri je birao pobednike u kategorijama koje su prethodno najavljene, uključujući GOTY, najbolji narativ, najbolji režiju i najbolji indie igru.
Ovogodišnji The Game Awards je bio zaista poseban – Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 je osvojio čak 9 nagrada od 13 nominacija, i time nadmašio The Last of Us Part 2 koji je 2020. godine osvojio 7.
